Debra Groth’s artwork embraces the fascination that she has with color. Whether it’s the changing seasons, morning light through trees, the color of gelato, or paint chips from a hardware store, all ignite inspiration for an art piece. Debra was interested in Art from an early age. Through a scenic route of business, fashion, and medicine, she finally studied Art at various colleges and universities. From Wayne State University she earned a Bachelors of Fine Art and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Debra continued expanding her education in Art by attending Eastern Michigan University concentrating in Fiber Arts. She also attended a wide variety of Art classes at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) and studied privately with many artists/educators. Debra has a home studio where she can create and be inspired while watching various animals banter in the landscape.
One of her favorite quotes is “dwell in possibility,” by poet Emily Dickinson.
