Of all the visual arts, only photography can capture and freeze a fleeting moment in time. In my photography, I try to reveal those fleeting moments that are uniquely beautiful, poignant, and compelling, so that others can see and experience what I had seen and experienced.
My photographs have been exhibited in juried group shows in Michigan and New York. In Michigan, juried group shows include the Ann Arbor Public Library; the Newaygo County Photography Show; the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center’s Michigan Fine Arts Competition; Detroit’s Scarab Club Gallery; the Our Town art show at the Birmingham Community House; the University of Michigan-Dearborn Open Competition at the Alfred Berkowitz Gallery; the Lansing Art Gallery; and the Padzieski Gallery in Dearborn, where one of my photographs was awarded “Best of Show”. The former Michigan governor, Jennifer Granholm, selected two of my photographs to hang in a year-long multi-media group show at the governor’s residence in Lansing.
