Here’s Looking at Hue was a group exhibition featuring artists from the Berkley, Michigan-based Articipate Collective: Bob Evans, Dave Gelbach, Annette Goze, Terry Ford Holcomb, Debby Kobayashi, Nancy Kozlowski, Carmen Oliver, Kate Palms, Ree Salvagno, Kim Stebbins, Peggy Stulberg and Christina Towell.
Lawrence Street Gallery presented Here’s Looking at Hue, a group exhibition featuring 12 artists from the Articipate Collective. Drawn from a wide range of styles including representational, abstract, mixed media, and more, these works present a rich and vibrant dialogue about color. We invite you to explore the myriad ways that color and art can influence us.
The show ran September 2nd through 25th at the gallery’s Ferndale location.
A public opening reception was held on Sunday, September 6, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. A mid-month reception followed on Sunday, September 20, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., featuring an ekphrastic poetry reading at 3 p.m. Admission as always was free.
Lawrence Street Gallery is an artist-owned and operated cooperative fine art gallery featuring a new exhibit of original artwork every month. Gallery hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.; Friday from noon to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
