Back again at Lawrence Street Gallery, roaring in to coincide with the Dream Cruise, we present Motor Muse ~Car Inspired art : An All Media Juried Exhibit Featuring automotive art in 2D or 3D
Attention, auto experts, enthusiasts and artists! Lawrence Street Gallery is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity to display your creativity in our upcoming exhibition, “Motor Muse ~ Car Inspired Art”!
We are looking for a wide variety of automotive-themed artwork that captures the essence of artistic expression related to cars. This exhibition, inspired by the Dream Cruise, will take place at Lawrence Street Gallery throughout the month of August.
We welcome submissions from artists at all skill levels and experiences.
“Motor Muse” offers you the opportunity to showcase your work and connect with a vibrant community of fellow artists and art lovers. This is an ideal platform to gain recognition and celebrate the dynamic world of automotive art!
Lawrence Street Gallery started in 1987. Run by artists, we pride ourselves on being a place where area artists showcase their work. Located at 22620 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, MI 48220, we have monthly solo shows, group shows, competitions for our featured exhibits, and accompanying member work that changes every month.
Your $35 entrance fee entitles you to consideration for entry to this show. If accepted, the pieces in the exhibit will also be available on the gallery’s website for viewing and purchasing! The pieces will be juried for inclusion by a panel of gallery member artists.
Key Dates (subject to change):
- Call Opens: Mid to Late May
- Key Dates: June 26th- 11:30 pm Deadline to enter online
- July 7: Accepted artists and work sent via email to all (estimate).
- July 22-25: Drop off accepted work during Gallery Hours. Pick up some postcards to hand out!
- July 29 – August 28: Show Dates
- Sunday, August 2: Opening Reception 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Awards at 3:00 pm.
- Sunday, August 16: Mid-Month Reception 2 – 4:30 p.m. People’s Choice Award and Poetry Event at 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 29 – Pick up Unsold work 12 – 5 pm.
The monetary awards will be determined in person after the show has been hung and announced at the Opening Reception.

- 2nd Place $100
- Honorable Mentions $25
A People’s Choice Award ($75) will also be awarded based on the highest number of visitor votes received between the Opening Reception and the Mid-Month Reception- and will be announced at the Mid-Month Reception.
