Kevin Clifford is a largely self-taught artist who attended the Center for Creative Studies
in Detroit Michigan. His emotive works touch on a variety of subjects while looking to
represent the beauty of everyday life. Traveling across Michigan and the United States
to capture landscapes through his own photography his work balances realism with a
clean naturalistic focus.
Kevin is an award-winning artist focusing on waterscapes, landscapes, still-life’s, and
people. He has worked with watercolor for more than 30 years
Clifford is a Signature member of both the American Watercolor Society and Michigan
Watercolor Society and holds memberships in additional watercolor organizations. He is
a figure in the local and national art communities. His award-winning work has been
featured across the state, including 5 accepted entries into the Grand Rapids Art Prize
Exhibition and solo exhibitions at Beaumont Hospital, Karmanos Institute, University of
Michigan and the Strand Theater. Clifford was awarded the Corrine Maillard Robenson
award at the Michigan Fine Arts competition in 2025. His work has been featured in
American Watercolor Artist (Splash Competition), and World of Watercolor magazines.
