“DISCOVERIES are made in passion driven moments of brush in hand and expression onto the canvas. Painting for me is about the energy of the subject, how an experience may enliven or soothe us. I love using texture for its interest, gold leaf and oil paint for its vibrant colors. I search to find a balance between the abstract and the representational aspects to each topic. My objective is to abandon the more literal methods of expressing in lieu of offering a relatable emotional response”
