I have drawn inspiration for my work from many directions. From the things seen every day, to the unplanned events that life puts before us. And my own imagination of things real or surrealistic. I have produced images because people have told me that, “It does not work that way, you’re not supposed to do that”. Then I decide what format, digital, 35 mm, to 4×5 film. From here, I will use any technique in my arsenal to make the image or series of images what I imagined them to be when I started the project. But sometimes these images send me in a different direction that I did not see, but welcome with excitement. Sometime my work has an obvious message. But always upbeat, sometime mysterious, questionable, thoughtful. A grin a smile shock and wonder, to excite the viewers imagination.
