The Body Eclectic 2026 An All Media Juried Exhibit Featuring the Figure
The juror for this exhibit will be Mary Dudek
Mary Dudek is a Pontiac-based artist specializing in sacred fine art, primarily focused on figure sculpture, drawing, painting, and ceramics. Her bronze figure sculptures can be seen throughout Metro-Detroit, including at the Capuchin Friar Retreat Center in Washington, MI. In addition to her studio practice, she teaches figure drawing, painting, and sculpting at Paint Creek Center for the Arts and Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center.

Key Dates:
- Exhibition: February 4th-27th, 2026.
- Entries accepted: Until January 9, 2026, at 11:30 pm.
- Notification of invited or declined approximately January 17th via email from Laura Host and posting on the website.
- Drop off at the gallery during gallery hours, January 28-31.
- Opening Reception: Sunday, February 8th, 2:00 – 4:30 pm
- Mid-Month Reception: Sunday, February 22nd, 2:00 – 4:30 pm.
Parking is free on Sundays in Ferndale. - Pick up unsold work: Saturday, Feb. 28th 2026.
The monetary awards (Best in Show: $150, 2nd Place: $100, Honorable Mentions: $25 each) will be determined in person by the juror, Mary Dudek, and announced at the Opening Reception. The Gallery will also award a People’s Choice Award ($75) to the entry with the highest number of visitor votes received between the Opening Reception and the Mid-Month Reception, with this announcement made at the mid-month reception.
