Sometimes my paintings end up looking calm and do not fully reflect what the process is while I am painting. Sometimes they accurately reflect the process – that it is akin to meditation or a workout of sorts. The activity in this painting is probably one of the most accurate portrayals of what the painting process is for me mentally that I have completed so far. The soft colors offset the frenetic activity and warmth is present as well – for those cycles and circles of hyper thoughts are not negative, just tangled.
Signed on bottom edge of canvas and stamped on the back.
