From commercial art at Cass Tech, to philosophy in Monteith college and then, fine arts and art education at Wayne State; I’ve spent most of my life in the art world. The variety and humor in my work is partly from teaching art to my students in Detroit , who gave me a profound sense of the value of art education training; for self-esteem, for physical adaptability, for a creative sensibility, and for a way of seeing oneself in our world. But mostly, now that I’m older, I tend to see more beauty in the life around me ….and more humor in the foibles of our species…..
